The Problem With Eating Clean

Happy Friday! Its seems like a while since I have been able to sit down and write our email newsletter. Between remodeling the studio, coaching Davis's All Star team, and trying to get to Ellis's soccer games, it has been a whirlwind. But right now we have a little break in the action so I can come up for air. Summer is flying by and hopefully pretty soon we finish everything we wanted to do at the studio. We are really excited to see how it all turns out. Hopefully your summer is full of...

You're probably thinking about exercise all wrong

Happy Friday! I hope you had an awesome week. I'm feeling pretty good after a fairly relaxing Father's Day weekend. It started with doing one of my least favorite activities, which is painting. We are making some changes at the studio that we are really excited about. But we need to get everything ready so we started with painting. Luckily on Father's Day Emily got me a massage. It was my first time doing a Thai massage which is pretty cool. They walk all over your and add some stretching...

Why Most People Quit and How To Be The Exception

Well, it has been a busy week. Our daughter Ellis had her promotion from 5th grade and our son Davis had his promotion from 8th grade. They are both moving on to new schools next year. They are growing up so fast! Summer break is off to a great start especially with the Knicks with an incredible come back win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. They haven't won it all in my lifetime, and they are now one win away. My Huskies weren't able to pull out the win for the NCAA Championship but hopefully...

How to Keep Your Joints Healthy for Decades to Come

I hope you had an awesome week. I am just getting over the soreness from the Milliken workout on Monday. Thank you for all those that participated in the Memorial Day workout at the studio or if you did it on your own at home. It's a tough workout, but a great way to remember a friend. Every year I think I am just going to take it easy and get through the workouts, but Kyle doesn't let me. I always ended up pushing hard because that's what he would have done. Have a great weekend and enjoy...

The problem with pushing harder

Happy Friday! It is the unofficial start of the summer with Memorial Day. We will be running around between the baseball field and soccer field all weekend, but hopefully we still have some time to enjoy it. Memorial Day is here which means we will be doing our annual Milliken Workout in honor of my friend Kyle. I will be doing the workout at SDPT for the 8am class for anyone that would like to join. If you can't make it, you can check out the workout here and do it on your own. Enjoy today's...

The 3 Things That Drive Results

Happy Early Mother's Day to all the moms out there. I hope you have a special day this Sunday. Mother's Day means Memorial Day is right around the corner. And yes we will be doing the annual Milliken workout on Memorial Day as usually. Then we officially start summer. I can see our schedule slowly starting to fill up with soccer and baseball, but hopefully we can find some time to sneak a few trips in there. Enjoy the rest of your Friday and today's newsletter. Why Your Not Seeing Results

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week. As usual we are gearing up for a sports filled weekend between flag football, baseball, and soccer. Hopefully we can find some time in there to relax alittle too. Our weekends are packed but I have to admit, it is nice having plans laid out for you sometimes. Whenever we are at games I know I can relax because there is nothing else I need to be doing other than watching the kids have fun. There is plenty of time to stress about everything I need to...

The Newest Fitness Influencer Craze

I consider myself a pretty mellow and even keeled guy. But when it is March and Uconn is playing I can get a little crazy. My bracket may be busted, but it doesn't matter when the Huskies go on an incredible run in the NCAA tournament. I'm still riding high after one of the basketball games I have ever watched when Uconn came back and beat Duke with a last minute shot. You probably have seen the replay and know what I am talking about. If not, it is worth it to check it out, even if you don't...

The Real Challenge For Weight Loss

Well, I am coming up for air really quick as I write this. I spent the past 3 days at the Naval base in Coronado teaching 3 courses to naval fitness professionals. I am home for less than 24 hours and then hitting the road with Davis for his baseball tournament in Arizona. All great things, but I am going to be tired by the end of this. Luckily I did make some time to get a newsletter out this week and help you with your fitness goals. Enjoy today's newsletter! Mike Deibler MS, CSCSSan Diego...
